Welcome to this edition of The Poetic AI, a weekly experiment in storytelling collaborating with artificial intelligence to craft art and poetry. This week's theme is about the poetry in life's little moments. I hope you enjoy it.
Whether looking at a painting, reading a novel, or watching a film, art can connect us, evoke empathy, and help us make sense of the world around us.
I recently saw a Twitter thread of portraits famous photographers took of their partners. The photos were simple and authentic, with voyeuristic elements that pulled you into their world. Art, voyeurism, and the human condition are all intimately connected.
The ability to gaze into the lives of others, whether real or imagined, allows us to gain a deeper understanding of our own experiences and emotions. These unique little moments can be thrilling and unsettling when we are given a glimpse into the innermost private moments of others.

Photographers are blessed with an innate ability to see beauty in the banalest scenes, attracted by how the light falls, the framing, or simply a brief moment that will never be again. These moments, however, are fleeting and sometimes personal, making them all the more special.
Next time you’re enjoying a cup of coffee or tea in the morning, take a moment to notice how the light and shadows fall on the cup and how brief the moment last.
Poetry in Little Moments
In the stillness of the night, When the world is hushed and bright, With stars twinkling in the sky, I find poetry in life's little moments of nigh. A breeze that dances through my hair, The rustle of leaves, a symphony rare, A bird's sweet song, a serenade. In these small things, I find a parade. The laughter of children at play The sun setting in shades of grey A mother's hug, a father's kiss In life's small gifts, there's bliss. The way a flower opens its face, The sight of a butterfly in its grace, A dog's wagging tail, a cat's purr. In these simple things, beauty doth occur. So let us not seek grandeur and fame, For poetry lies in life's little things.
I hope you enjoyed this week’s issue of The Poetic AI and will start to notice all the little moments in life.
